Dear sir or madam,
As The National Make A Friend Day has recently passed, I am writing to inform you that I have once again published two flash fiction pieces on the theme of “My Bloody Valentine”… I would like it very much if you could possibly take the time to read them over as you have read the others. I believe you will find them to your satisfaction and see that they are excellent pieces of work. I am making my way to your abode as I write. The stagecoach has thrown a wheel, hence the tardiness in my approach.
Thanking you in advance for your likes, kind words and retweets.
All the best until I reach you,
Cheers always,
– Stephen J. Golds, editor-in-chief
Memento Mori by Geonn Cannon

I burned our love letters.
Deleted folders off my phone. Everywhere we’d been together, every text. Books worth of conversations, gone with a screen tap. Took our photos off my wall. Disappearing us entirely. Three years.
You still had yours. I couldn’t trust you. It takes more hurt to follow through that much erasure. So I did it for you.
I didn’t know where you kept it. I needed to be sure it was all gone.
So I did it for you. I watched until your house was ashes before I left. To be sure.
I burned our love letters.

Direct Block by Jody Wenner

Heart-shaped stickers poured from my locker on Valentine’s Day. They were from Billy. I ignored it.
He had my name painted on his face in red at the school carnival. I pretended not to see it.
Roses outside my door for prom. I stayed home.
At the ten-year class reunion, he sat in the corner watching me all night.
When he tried friending me on social media, I blocked him.
But when I saw his face on my security camera, I knew it was time.
I swung open the door and blocked Billy out of my life for good.
